Microsoft has been beta testing the Office for Android tablet for some time now but finally, the software giant has released the official app on Google Play Store, as well as, the updated version for the iPhone and iPad.
Office for Android tablet is just one of the many versions Microsoft is working on. With this release, this makes it official to say that Office is now available for everyone, everywhere. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel can now be accessed and edited from any Android tablet. The Office for Android tablet Preview will be fully ready early 2015 but you can already sign up for the service.
Microsoft added transitions in PowerPoint for this version for Android tablet Preview. You can also view and edit documents in Word of Android tablet Preview whenever you need to do some work. And for those crunching number, you can now edit and insert charts and tables in Excel for Android tablet Preview. Tablet must be running at least Android KitKat and must have a 7 to 10.1-inch screen size. Nothing for Lollipop yet so don’t upgrade if you want to try the Office for Android tablet.
The Office for Android tablet Preview doesn’t require an Office 365 subscription but if you want to make use all features , you can subscribe to Office 365. With subscription, any Office for Android tablet user can take advantage of unlimited OneDrive storage, Dropbox integration, and advanced collaboration and advanced editing features. It’s a good value considering you can get 1 terabyte of online storage at OneDrive and very soon, unlimited storage.
