With the numerous instant messaging and email inbox apps available, it can be difficult to choose just one that will help you with all your personal and professional messaging needs. When it comes to work and business, using a corporate email and a reliable inbox app is recommended. However, opening and loading messages on a native email client can take some time. It can be more convenient if one can just send a quick note or question to anyone. Sure, instant messaging apps can be enough but for work and school, there’s the new Send app that allows fast communication between Office 365 business and school email account owners.

If you’re a regular Outlook user, you’ll be happy to know that the Send app offers a quick messaging experience. This Microsoft Garage project is fast and simple to use and you can refer to past messages in Outlook. The Send feature allows you to send a message without having to open the inbox or a new compose message window. With the app, you can just send a message straight to the contact and keep simple conversations. It’s like sending a quick email to a friend or colleague sans the subject headline, salutations, and signatures.

You only need your contact’s email address to be able to send a message. If you don’t want to search through your numerous email threads and just want to send a quick note, use the Send app. Messages are still saved on the inbox so you can always keep track of the discussion and store them for future reference.

This app is the latest Microsoft Garage project for mobile platforms. Send for iOS is now ready for download. The Android version should be ready soon.

  1. Send does look good and no doubt can compete with whatssapp but there just seems to be so may services out there now – a fragmentation of communications if you will. Surely it would be better if we could all just one app and use it for everything regardless of what the app recipient is using? Because that is essentially the problem and it just means we have to use up lots of different serviecs to communicate daily.
