Metro 2033 is a new game now available via the Google Play Store, developed by TapStar Interactive and DaSuppa Games. This is a post-apocalyptic turn-based RPG based on the familiar Metro franchise for PC which includes Metro 2033 (2010) and Metro: Last Light (2013). This is the first mobile game to be launched based on that franchise.
The storyline is pretty familiar, the world reduced to rubble after nuclear war in 2033. Surviving humans have gone underground to survive, using subway tunnels and metro stations in cities like Moscow and other cities which have prominent subway systems. Metro stations have become cities on their own and are run by different factions. The subway has also become home to new, err… creatures that have evolved and adapted to living in the dark.
In this environment, players are need to gather resources to survive – including water, food, metal, and others, while protecting themselves from these new creatures. Exploration is key, so it means arming yourself and hiring armed mercs to protect you. You will also need to build facilities, gain diplomatic relations with neighbors, and strengthen the economy of your fledgling underground region. This game will keep you gaming throughout the night.
The gameplay is pretty deep and polished, so expect this to be an immersive game. It is available via the Google Play Store as a premium download costing you USD$7.99, with no IAPs whatsoever. Pretty expensive, but this should be a nice game.
