Apart from the Meizu Pro 6 Plus, the Chinese OEM also launched the new Meizu M3X. This one is a mid-ranger that boasts of a 5.5-inch AMOLED display covered by a 2.5D glass, 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 401ppi pixel density, MediaTek Helio P20 processor, 3GB or 4GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage, and a 3200mAh battery. When it comes to imaging, this phone uses a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX 386 sensor and a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter.
The Meizu M3X also boasts of a fingerprint scanner and there’s still a 3.5mm earphone jack. There’s also the a Type-C USB port and VoLTE capabilities. The 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage model costs $247 while the higher 4GB RAM with 63GB onboard storage is $290. The prices are still mid-range so we can say the Meizu M3X can be worth your money. Pre-registation for the unit is now open before the flash sale happening on December 8.
Design-wise, the Meizu M3X is a thing of beauty. The aluminum metal frame with the double-sided 2.5D curved glass looks premium enough. Phone looks seamless and smooth you’d think it is a high-end and expensive phone. We guess that’s the standard now with phones coming from China–premium build and design, okay specs, and affordable pricing.
In China, the Meizu M3X is called as the ‘Blue Charm X’. It’s for the Phantom Blue version but there’s also the Streamer Gold, Obsidian Black, and Pearl White.
