While most people tend to gravitate towards micro-blogging or even just reading the “listicle” Buzzfeed type of articles, there are still people who prefer consuming long-form content and writing them as well. That’s where apps and services like Medium come in, where aspiring writers and people who love to read those aspiring writers’ words intersect. And now, they are calling on early adapters and Medium fans to help get their app off the ground by testing the Android beta version.
We don’t know yet what is in that beta app, but if it’s anything like the iOS version, then Android users can expect a pretty minimalist and simple mobile editor that allows you to publish your writings with not too much fuss. You will also be abe to read the entries without all the digital clutter that some blogs and social networks have that hinder you from fully appreciating the written (well, electronically written that is) word.
To be part of the beta testing for their Android app, you need to follow the usual beta testing procedures. You need to be a member of their private Google+ Community. Just make sure that you’re using the same Google account for the Google+ and your Android smartphone or tablet. Once they approve you, it will unlock the app for you.
Then just go to the Google Play Store page of the Medium App and download and install. Then of course, it would be best if you could give feedback to the developers so that they fix or add things before it goes live for everyone.
