If you’ve been playing the Marvel Avengers Academy on your Android device for the past few months, you’ve probably chosen your favorite characters, made superhero friends and earned yourself some enemies as well, since after all, it is like high school. And with the arrival of the new Captain America: Civil War movie, you already know what’s coming: an update to the game that will force you to choose sides. So are you Team Cap or Team Iron Man? Better make up your mind or get caught in the middle of the superhero war.
If you’re familiar with the whole Civil War story (or at least the cinematic version, and not the comic book one), then you know that two of the biggest superheroes have come to a philosophical disagreement when it comes to the role of heroes in society. And now the school has been split into two as well, so you would have to choose your side. You will be able to unlock new pieces of the Civil War story every week, through various quests that you have to undertake and the prizes you’ll get if you survive.
There are also now some new characters that have been added from the game because of the movie which opens this weekend in the US. You can now play (or fight) characters like Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Madame Hydra, Crossbones, Agent 13, and more. Will they be recruited for S.H.I.E.L.D or fight for the Iron Legion? Your staple characters will also get some new outfits and accessories when you update to the latest version.
