Game developer Madfinger Games has just announced something that should, at the very least, interest all you mobile gamers out there. The outfit is coming out with a special edition of their hit shooter game “Shadowgun: Deadzone” that will be fully customizable and moddable. This will be called Shadowgun: Deadzone Game Master’s Edition, and it gives users the ability to create new maps, modify weapons, characters, and other elements of the game. Sounds fun, right?
This will basically be like how Half Life modders were able to come out with those hugely popular mod maps – only this time, it will be for the Deadzone mobile game. Users who download the GM Edition of the game will be given all the tools they need to develop new content for the game. From what we see of the screenshots and the video below, the process looks simple enough to learn.
If you’re interested in this version of the game, you can check it out at the download link below. The GM’s kit comes with 2 full maps, 21 different weapons and can be played by up to 12 players at one time. The players will be able to create their own server for locally connected games.
If you haven’t played Deadzone yet, now should be a good time to start learning. The game is free to download, with some IAPs. Get on it then, and start gaming.
