Lumosity, the brain training app is now available from the Google Play Store. The Lumosity app had previously been available on the iOS side, and citing how “nearly half of all new Lumosity user registrations and game plays come from mobile” — it looks like the company has opted to launch for Android.
Along with how “nearly half” of all new users are coming from the mobile side — the folks at Lumosity have said they are now being used by more than 60 million people around the world. Lumosity is a name that many will be familiar with (likely from the television commercials), but for those who aren’t sure — Lumosity is said to be a “personal training program that challenges your brain.”
That being said, the Lumosity app is free to download, though there are some in-app purchases. We’ll have to wait and see how successful the game will be on Android, but it looks like things had been good on the iOS side. The company mentioned how they “consistently held” top spots for Education in the iOS App Store.
iOS users have given Lumosity an average 5-star rating and that comes from more than 82,000 iPhone reviews and 37,000 iPad reviews. For now the reviews in the Google Play Store are much less (in terms of numbers) and currently sit at just under 600. But on the positive side — the reviews do seem positive and the app currently holds a rating of 4.6.
