If you have multiple devices, and some of them aren’t even on the same platform, you must carry an extra bag just for the multiple chargers and wires that you have to bring. A Kickstarter project wants you to lessen that load by bringing a 2-in-1 connector that can work on both lightning and microUSB devices. The LMcable says it is the world’s first iOS and Android Common Connector and you still have almost a month to go and support them.
There are connectors out there that can serve both lightning and microUSB, but they almost always come with an adaptor of sorts. But LMcable has just one “simple and innovative connector” for your Android devices and your iOS ones. All you have to do is turn it as one side is for lightning and the other side is for microUSB. It supports both 2.4a fast charging and fast data transfer as well.
Furthermore, it lets you avoid all those wire tangles as it is made from tin-plated copper wires that are stronger and more durable than the regular ones. It has a brass buckle for neat closure as you coil the wires and the connector and it looks “stylish”, well as stylish as connectors can get. It is also more environment friendly as it uses halogen-free TPE instead of PVC.
It looks like a lot of people are in need of a 2-in-1 connector since they’ve more than reached their goal of $5,000 AUD, with 28 days to go in the campaign. To get 1 LMcable, you need to pledge $21 AUD or more. It is available in four colors: Sunlight White, Vintage Brown, Moonlight Black, and Cowboy Blue.

This is a crowdfunded project, and as such may not deliver what its creators initially promise. Most crowdfunding sites, like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, have policies about what happens to your money if the project fails to deliver on its goals, but choosing to back a project is inevitably a risk. Android Community’s reporting on crowdfunded projects should in no way be seen as an endorsement, unless specifically stated, and we recommend closely examining the terms and conditions to understand your individual rights as a backer before making a pledge.
Or Apple could stop being a giant dick and just use usb. Just a thought.
