There are games that have simple visuals but challenging and complicated gameplay. There are games that are easy enough to follow but have stunning graphics that makes you want to play it more. This new game is more of the second one, so if you like good-looking games but simple enough rules to follow, then Little Briar Rose Adventure may actually be the new game for you to play on your Android devices as it is now available on the Google Play Store.
The game’s story is based on the Grimm fairy tale of Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty. It’s a side-scrolling adventure game where you point and click on the prince and stuff around him as he attempts to rescue the princess in a castle surrounded by an enchanted forest. It’s not particularly very progressive and the gameplay isn’t very exciting or difficult to master. You’ll see elements of both western and eastern traditions, with a bit of Disney thrown in. There are also mini games and puzzles in between the stages.
But what makes this game stand out from others is that the visuals are pretty breathtaking. It is hand-drawn and is made to look like the stained-glass art that you can see in churches and buildings. This then gives Little Briar Rose a more exciting feel since you feel like you’re watching an actual animated movie, as compared to the pixelated graphics and “safe, me-too styles” that you normally see in other games in this genre.
You can download Little Briar Rose Adventure from the Google Play Store for $2.49. The good news is that there are no in-app purchases anymore. The bad news is that there’s no cloud save function or Android TV compatibility.
