One of the most frustrating thing that fresh graduates encounter when they start applying for jobs is that there’s always that thing called “experience required”, which just about kills any chance for them with those jobs. A new app from LinkedIn called LinkedIn Students might help those who are almost graduating search for jobs that will best fit their range of experience (which may be non-existent) as well as giving them some additional knowledge and skills to help with the job hunt.

LinkedIn Students’ main mission is to help the soon to graduate and the new graduates search for specific jobs that are a best fit for them in whatever field they chose or they graduated from. You will also be able to see which companies hire from your school a lot which might give you a better chance at getting through the first hurdle. You can also see the profiles and maybe career trajectory of recent alumni with the same degree as yours.

If you’re feeling a bit nervous about putting yourself out there once you graduate, there are career advice articles that you can find within the app. You will also be able to see relevant articles, curated by LinkedIn and JP Morgan Chase, to your chosen field that might influence you as well. And of course, the recommendations that you’ll receive, both the job openings and the articles, are personalized for you.

You can sign up for LinkedIn Students and download the app from the Google Play Store for free. Happy job hunting!
