IFA 2015 in Berlin is still a few days away, but already the OEMs are announcing their big guns to get the attention of consumers looking for their next big buy. LG today announced that they will be showing off the newest and most advanced (so far) model in their G Pad series. The LG G Pad II 10.1, will (obviously) sport a 10-inch screen, a long-lasting battery (the largest in this market segment), and more features that they claim will make your multi-media experience even more enjoyable.
The new LG tablet will supposedly offer you the “perfect balance of performance and price” if you are now in the market for a new tablet. It will run on a 2.26GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 processor and will have 2GB of RAM, which has been the standard for a lot of devices in this segment. It has 16GB of internal memory and will already come with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It will sport a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) display with a “slim and seek design” and boasting of having the slimmest bezel in the 10-inch category.
One good news for heavy users is that it has a 7,400 mAh battery, which is again, the largest in their class. And if you use your tablet to read a ton of ebooks, then you’ll be happy to know that this one has a reduced blue light in its display blacklight, which is apparently responsible for our eye fatigue and blurry vision issues. You also have the Dual Window feature so you can multi-task and then QuickMemo+ to let you write down, save and share notes without leaving the app you’re currently in.
The pricing and availability of the LG G Pad II 10.1 will be announced at the launch at the IFA. What we do know is that the tablet will also have Microsoft Office pre-loaded, together with 100GB One Drive storage, free for the next two years.
