So, the LG Vortex may not be the high-end device to put an end to all other high-end devices, but we have already seen in a comparison chart that it’s not that bad of a mid-range Android-based handset. And apparently Verizon feels the same way, as the company will be giving you the phone for free.
The upcoming device, featuring a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, Android 2.2, and a 600MHz processor under the hood, will be $100 when you walk into the Verizon store, but Big Red is going to offer you a $100 mail-in rebate, as long as you can fill out a form and send it in. You’ll also have to sign a new, two-year agreement, too. The price is a perfect spot for the device, and it will probably be picked up by a few customers out there.
Unfortunately, we still don’t have a release date for it yet, but rumors have it coming out any time within the next few weeks.
