Everyday, more and more Android devices are getting the highly anticipated Marshmallow update. We’re expecting announcements and releases will be made left and right as the first quarter of the year is about to end. Q2 is fast approaching and so before Google officially reveals the Android N platform, the companies need to catch up quickly.
Next to get the fluffy update is the LG V10. Well, not all V10s, just those in Turkey and its native South Korea. That can be frustrating to those who live in other countries but at least we know it’s ready. It’s only a matter of time before those in the United States, Europe, and the rest of Asia will get Android 6.0 on their LG smartphones.
LG is said to be only testing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the two countries before the global release. That could also mean there may be numerous bugs that will be encountered.
The LG V10 in Turkey is set to receive Android 6.0 and not the latest Android 6.0.1. That’s not a problem because it is still Marshmallow. OTA notifications are currently being pushed to devices. As with most releases, this one will bring an improved app permissions system, Direct Share, better Do Not Disturb mode, and Doze Mode.
As for LG’s own features and services, the South Korean company also improved on the brightness slider and brought the new Knock Code settings. The standard LG Bridge has been renamed to LG AirDrive so expect to see some other features and changes.
