The LG Stylo Plus 2 in the US is actually a variant of the LG Stylus Plus 2 which was announced earlier this year. There are slight differences between the two, with the international version having a 1080p resolution but the US variant having only a 1280 x 720 display. But the rest of the specs are almost the same, and now you’ll be able to buy the Stylo Plus 2 from the MetroPCS website and it will only cost you $149.
The mid-tier smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD TFT In-cell display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor. It also has a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded to up to 2TB through a microSD card. The main camera is at 13MP while the front-facing one has a 5MP shooter. The Stylo Plus 2 has a 2900mAh battery which isn’t much so you probably need to have a power bank on hand. It does run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow so at least it has the Doze feature to save your battery.
Some other notable features of this device is that of course it has a stylus and you can use that in the calligraphy pen mode which turns your handwriting into script. It also has a screen-off memo where you can write down ideas on your screen even if your phone is in locked mode. The built-in pop scanner lets you immediately trace and crop a picture you’ve just recently taken with your camera.
The LG Stylo Plus 2 is now available at the MetroPCS website if you’re in the US. It only costs $149, so if you’re in the market for a mid-tier smartphone, that’s a pretty good deal you have there already.
