Verizon Wireless has officially launched the latest Lucid branded device. This time around we are seeing the LG Lucid 3, which has entered the lineup with a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540) display and running Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat. This one may not be the powerhouse some are looking for, however sometimes we have to look to price, and this one is hard to argue.
The LG Lucid 3 is free on a two-year agreement. Those considering a purchase will also have the option to pay $12.49 per month (for 24 months) using the EDGE plan. Full retail for the Lucid 3 is $299.99. Other spec highlights include a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (supporting 64GB cards) and a 2440 mAh battery.
The camera setup includes a VGA on the front and a 5 megapixel on the back. The rear-facing camera has autofocus, an LED flash and can record 1080p video at 30fps. Coming along with Kit Kat will be some LG specifics such as KnockON, KnockCode, QSlide 2.0 and QuickMemo.
Some of these we’ve seen on other devices, such as KnockON and KnockCode. The former allows you to double tap the display to wake the phone and the latter allows you to create a pattern of taps to use as an unlock code. That having been said, Verizon Wireless has the LG Lucid 3 available from today.
