The handset, dubbed the LG G2 MINI had been the subject of rumor in recent weeks, however as of today, LG has gotten into the mix with an official teaser image. LG shared the image by way of Facebook and mentioned an unveil date of February 24th.
Specifically, LG is inviting users to “Experience the MINI” on February 24, 2014. Those familiar with the date will realize this lines up nicely with Mobile World Congress. The image shows a few different mini versions, but the key piece is sitting in the bottom right hand corner. That is where we see the LG G2 sitting alongside the LG G2 MINI.
LG has yet to share any specs regarding the mini-model, however thanks to the provided image, we can see the backside keeps the key features such as the power button and volume rocker. We know the regular-sized LG G2 features a 5.2-inch 1080p display. Looking back to the rumors and there was talk of the LG G2 MINI sporting a 4.7-inch display.
Other, still rumored specs for the mini model include a Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. And those looking for the comparison can take note in how these are the same as the regular-sized G2.
