Fans of the LG G2 in the UK are in luck. Clove has begun selling the popular new device for £480 (including VAT), which also comes with LG’s QuickWindow cover. That’s a bit of a deal when compared to the £490 ulockedmobiles.com is selling it for, and much better than some other retialers.
Three UK has the phone starting at £29/month and £49 down, but that’s for a 24 month agreement. By the end of your contract, you’ll have spent upwards of £745! It can be had on a pay-as-you-go plan for £399, which could help soften the blow a bit.
If LG intends to reach that international sales goal of 10 million G2 devices, they’ll need all the help they can get. While the monthly cost for the device with a plan is a bit more approachable, the overall out-of-pocket savings in purchasing it outright is hard to pass up.
With a 5.2-inch HD screen and impressive features like knock-on, the LG G2 is a dynamite handset. Backed up by a Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 330 GPU, the G2 is good enough to stand out in a crowded mobile space. Increased marketing efforts across the globe should help people recognize how great it is. We’ll be interested to see how the UK responds to buttons on the rear of a device, though.
