We may be focusing less on tablets these days not because we’re no longer interested in them but because there are only a few models being introduced in the market. Companies seem to be giving most of their attention on smartphones and phablets because they are more compact and convenient to use. And so when one releases a new tablet or at least a software update, we’re all ears and eyes like on this LG G Pad X 10.1 that’s getting a software upgrade from AT&T.
The LG G Pad X 10.1 (model V930) is now ready to receive the latest software update. If you own one, you should be receiving a notification any day now. The Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) update includes several important Android security updates and AT&T’s very own NumberSync support plus the Phone application. This means the LG G Pad X is the first ever Android-powered tablet to get support the carrier’s NumberSync service which was only introduced last October.
If you may remember, AT&T is slowly adding more models with NumberSync support, allowing multiple devices to use only one number. With this latest update, your LG Android tablet can now be reached via the NumberSync service.
Check if the update is ready for download by going to Settings> About tablet > Update Center > Software Update> Update Now. Just follow the onscreen prompts to finish installation.

Hopefully Verizon gets this feature soon.
