The LG G8 will be announced at the MWC 2019. We’re certain of that because LG showed a video teaser yesterday. There’s some reference to a ‘Goodbye Touch’ so we’re thinking the new phone could take advantage of gestures. But then a few recent reports of smartphones having no buttons and ports (like the Meizu ZERO and Vivo APEX 2019) got us thinking that maybe, the next LG phone will ditch any physical button. We’re not really interested in the design right now. We just want to know the specs and features.
LG may release the G8 in March after the February unveiling. It’s expected at MWC 2019. Usually, LG rivals Samsung but this time, it will face Xiaomi as its closest challenger.
The LG G8 ThinQ may still compete with the Samsung Galaxy S10 or at least, its 5G version. We’re not sure if the G8 will have 5G or if the 5G phone will be a totally different series or maybe a different model.
The LG 5G smartphone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. This means an improvement in processing power by 45%. The 5G mobile interest is many times faster than the current 4G.
LG has compared the 5G phone with the LG V40 ThinQ but it’s better and “cooler” with the Vapor Chamber. It’s the same tech but is said to be 2.7 times bigger. The bigger area, the cooler.
