Lenovo has just rolled out a new smartphone in the form of the Z2 Plus. This is totally far from the Moto M we reported a while ago as this one is said to be pure Lenovo. First introduced in the Indian market, the Lenovo Z2 Plus is actually just the ZUK Z2. If you may remember, Lenovo acquired the Chinese startup ZUK which is more known for its affordable smartphones like the Z2.
We’ve already featured the smartphone and even its other variants like the ZUK Z2 Pro and the one with 4GB and Snapdragon 820. The ZUK Z2 arrived as a follow-up to the ZUK Z1 and now it’s getting a new name.
Don’t be confused by this one because after all, it’s still the same Z2 but with some enhancements. You can choose either the 3GB RAM/32GB variant priced at $269 ( INR 17,999 ) or the 4GB RAM/64GB model for only $299 (INR 19,999). Other specs include a 5-inch Full HD display, fibreglass frame, and a 3500mAh battery.
The Lenovo Z2 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor. It comes equipped with Pro-fitness sensors from power meters, to heart rate monitor, and Cadence sensor. There’s also the GPS and U-Health App so you’ll know if your workout is effective as it can track calories, steps, and distance.
Phone has been re-designed for India, making Google Now as the default launcher. There’s also the U-Touch 2.0 for navigation and security. As for the camera system, there’s a 13MP ISOCELL rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, wide-angle lens, and EIS stabilization.
