If you are a huge Lego fan and absolutely loved the Lego Movie (which a lot of people really did), then you probably couldn’t wait for the video game to arrive for your Android device, thinking that Warner Bros would probably take advantage of all that hype and bring the game immediately. And so you waited. And waited. And waited. And finally, after two years of waiting, it is now available, just when another Lego movie, this time starring Batman, is set to be released next year.
We’re not really sure why it took two years for the Android version of the Lego Movie Video Game, but things may now be a bit more awesome now that it’s here. You might have already missed Emmet and the gang, at least now you’ll have them back and it’s like a brand new experience once again since it’s been a while. In the game’s storyline, our unlikely hero has once again been unwittingly drafted into an epic quest for which he is unprepared. So it’s up to you, dear player, to make sure that he and his teammates are able to defeat the evil tyrant.
The game has more than 90 characters available from the movie, including Superman, Gandalf, and Batman (who will get his own movie by February 2017). There are also 45 levels where you get to visit interesting places like Flatbush Gulch and Cloud Cuckoo Land. When you become a Master Builder, only then can you create new objects using the Lego bricks. If you’re still just a collectible character, you have to look for the instruction pages scattered all over the levels.
You can download the Lego Movie Video Game from the Google Play Store for $4.99, with no more in-app purchases. Now we probably have to wait for the Lego Batman Movie game by 2019.
