With the US’ surprising victory today over current World Cup champions Germany in a friendly match, some people who caught the game accidentally may have been newly converted into the world of soccer, or as the rest of the world calls it, football. And even though in reality, the US will not be competing in the upcoming 2015 Copa America, well at least you still get the choice to play them, together with 17 other countries in the new Striker Soccer America 2015 Android game.
The game puts together in one tournament all the 12 teams that will actually be competing in the tournament (Chile: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) together with 6 other fictional guest countries (USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama.). We mean, their being in the Copa is fictional, not that they’re fictional countries. Your task is to bring the country you’re playing to victory and you get the option to play in four different modes.
You can play friendlies which don’t really count except as “practice games” for your squad. Or you can choose to actually compete in the tournament, wherein your aim is to win, or at least get to the finals. There is also a challenge mode where you need to complete 10 challenges before you can be declared champion. And finally, the Online Events Mode is connected to the actual Copa America. You can choose which team to support and depending on how well they do in the competition, you get to accumulate points.
If you’re interested in the sport or you would like to follow the tournament while at the same time playing the game on your mobile device, you can download Striker Soccer America 2015 from the Google Play Store for free. There are in-app purchases as well, but don’t worry, no actual betting will be involved.
