So how was your weekend? Did you spend it trying out your new Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge. And if you’ve installed and update your favorite apps, I’m sure by now you’ve seen the new LastPass for Android. It now has a redesigned interface which was actually expected since Android 5.0 Lollipop and Material Design were introduced last year. This means a better user experience for users of this password management service.
This update is the biggest yet for the Android app because of the new Material Design guidelines set by Google. Enhancements include a simpler mobile password management design so using LastPass is easier. With the redesign, managing passwords is now faster made possible by improved transitions and easier navigation. The app now also looks and feels lighter. You’ll notice the floating action button to add new items and the settings menu has be reorganized. The LastPass development team has also changed the design of app fill windows. Of course, many tweaks and fixes were done on this app for better performance.
Mobile password management is no joke but LastPass manages to make things easy for most of us. Material Design brings a simpler and less complicated app that it is more intuitive and easy-to-read. For regular LastPass users, you’ll notice the main menu has moved to the left. On the sliding drawer, you can toggle between Sites, Secure Notes, and Form Fill Profiles with the tabs. You can even set a Shared Folder to share with your family or friends.
LastPass and Samsung partnered together to bring LastPass to the latest Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. LastPass is part of the Galaxy Gifts program for those who want LastPass. It’s a premium app but Samsung will give LastPass Premium credit to those upgrading to the latest flagship phones.
