Sometimes, you really don’t need a complicated back story, a cast of interesting characters, award-winning graphics and visuals, scintillating music or even highly-intelligent gameplay. There are days when all you want to do is play a game that is simple and yet fun, with gameplay that will challenge you, but at the same time, you can learn in just a few seconds of opening the game. And we’re not talking about the sometimes repetitive match 3 or even endless runner games. FireWhip may have just achieved said requirement for your Android devices.
The object of the game is to kill your enemies with the flaming whip of fire. Sounds simple enough yes? Well it is and it is not, because otherwise, why would you play anything if it is always that simple? There is a tny blop of pixels which contains the whip of holy fire. You swipe your finger in a circle to whip the fire up, and when you’re satisfied with how large your whip is, you release it, with the right timing as well, to destroy the enemies trying to make their way to your blob in the middle.
The enemies may not have character or even a face you can latch on to, but they do have different movement patterns and so requires different amount of power. You cannot keep making the same spin over and over because the enemies are different every time. Your whip becomes more powerful as you spin faster, but if you do it too fast, you will burn parts of your whip and you’ll eventually lose power.
If this kind of simple yet challenging game appeals to you, you can download FireWhip for just $0.99 from the Google Play Store. There are no in-app purchase available and no ads as well.
