There are various reasons why people would want to post their workout or running scores in public. It may be just humble bragging (or outright bragging). It may be to motivate yourself or your friends who are also doing the same training. It may be to show off to friends who are also doing the same training but not doing as well as you. Or it may be to poke fun at yourself. Whatever your reason may be, if you’re using Runtastic, now it’s easier to do that.
If you’re not yet familiar with Runtastic, it is an app that uses your smartphone’s GPS tp track your fitness activities like running, jogging, biking, and walking, as well as your cardio workout. The latest update to the fitness tracking app brings a new Running Leaderboard, an easier way to find friends who are also using the app, a Real Voice Coach to serve as your own personal digital trainer, and a new story run to help in your training.
If you’re looking for friendly competition, then the new Running Leaderboard will show you where you are on a table together with your other friends who are using the app. And it is also now easier for you to build your own community since you can now find and add the friends you want to see on the Runtastic app itself. If you think you’ll be motivated more if you hear a voice (albeit a digital one) in your ear, then you can use the new Real Voice Coach feature, which is an improved version of the already existing vocal coach.
You can update your Runstastic app from the Google Play Store page. For a $0.99 in-app purchase, you can also get the new story run, the Tetradome Run III.
