Huawei isn’t done with just the Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, and the special Porsche edition. The company has recently released a ‘lite’ variant albeit in a quiet manner. This new addition expands Huawei’s current Mate lineup that is always a bestseller in several markets. Since the Mate 9 phone introduced earlier are all high-specced premium, this Mate 9 Lite is a mid-range device that is ready to compete with other affordable and budget-friendly phones.
If you want the Mate 9 but think the standard, Pro, and Porsche models are too pricey, you can get this variant instead that comes equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p FHD display screen, 2.5D curved glass, Kirin 655 oct-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi, 12MP and 2MP dual rear camera setup, 8MP front-facing cam, and a 3340mAh battery. The phone features the standard sensors such as hall effect, proximity, fingerprint, ambient light, acceleration, compass, and phone status indicator.
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite will be available in Gold, Silver, or Gray color. You can also get the 4GB RAM version with 64GB storage. Phone already runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped by EMUI 4.1. It weighs 162g and measures 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2mm. Note that this one doesn’t have the Leica branded-camera so don’t expect too much from its imaging tech.
No information on availability and pricing yet but it should be available soon and with a lower cost than the other Mate 9 phones.

This is a good option especially if you value battery life as this phone (Mate 9 Lite) will out perform all the other Mates in that category… largely due to the reduced power consumption of the CPU.
