Huawei is not anymore satisfied with just being a dominant force in its native China. They have expanded in several markets outside to also offset the economic slowdown affecting their country. India is the new darling of the smartphone industry, at least in term of budget and mid-range devices. Along with its Honor 5X, Huawei has released another budget smartphone called Honor Holly 2 and if you love in the country and you’re looking for a new secondary device (or main, if you prefer it), then you might want to consider it.
It was launched in China last year as Enjoy 5, but for the Indian market, it will be known as Honor Holly 2. It has a 5-inch HD display and on the inside, it has a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor powering it. It has 2GB RAM (slightly better than others in its category) and a 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB through a microSD card. For photography buffs, you’ll be pleased to know that it has a 13MP main camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision BSI sensor, 28mm wide-angle lens, 6P lenses. You also get a 5MP front-facing one for your selfies. Again, not bad for a budget device.
It comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.1 (fat chance that it had Marshmallow). It supports Dual SIM and connectivity-wise, it has 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB OTG. It’s not that big of a device of course, at 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7mm and weighing 160g. It also has 4000mAh battery so it should last you for a while.
The Huawei Honor Holly 2 comes in three colors, Grey, Gold, and White. You can get it for Rs. 8,499 and will be available at Flipkart and Amazon by February 15.
