Huawei has another handset that is set to hit the airwaves shortly. The odd thing here is the backwards direction it is taking. The Huawei M660 is sporting a BlackBerry style portrait hardware keyboard and appears to be running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Users on Cricket Wireless might want to stay tuned.
What a powerhouse smartphone right? Rocking a small 3.2-inch 480×320 resolution display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a neat 4-row QWERTY hardware keyboard. These devices are starting to become somewhat of a novelty but for those that still want a hardware keyboard, this looks to be a good option on Cricket.
A few photos of the handset were leaked to PhoneArena but hardly confirms the specs. We are seeing a camera on the back that will probably be a 3 megapixel shooter. This lower-end device is headed for Cricket Wireless, and maybe Metro PCS but the details are still light. It isn’t the Galaxy S III but someone looking for a contract free, pay-as-you-go device this could be a good budget device. We’ll report back if we find out more.
I’d like to be able to attach a full sized keyboard to my #Android device to get more use out of it. It’s not backwards to me at all.
