We’re excited to see if the Honor V8 unveiled last May is getting a bigger sibling. A device believed to be the Honor V8 Max has been certified recently on TENAA complete with a 6.6-inch display screen, a design similar to the V8, and that very obvious ‘honor’ badge. The phablet has dropped by the Chinese FCC which means the phone will be unveiled very soon.

The Huawei Honor V8 Max is said to rival the likes of the ASUS Zenfone 3 Ultra, Lenovo Phab2 Pro or Plus, and the Xiaomi Mi Max. It’s already considered a phablet because of the screen size. The 6.6-inch QuadHD AMOLED display is huge and has an impressive 2560 × 1440 resolution. Nothing is final yet but the phone seems to be equipped with a 2.3GHz octa-core Kirin 950 processor, 32GB onboard storage, microSD card slot, and 3GB RAM. The device, also believed to be one of the two variants sighted before, measures 178.8 x 90.9 x 7.2mm and weighs about 219 grams.

When it comes to imaging technology, there’s the 8MP selfie shooter and 13MP rear camera as standard. We’re assuming it will also have the same dual lens camera setup. At the back panel is the fingerprint sensor. Inside is a large 4400mAh battery that’s good enough to last the whole day. There’s no information on availability and pricing yet but we’re almost sure the phone is set to launch.
