At the ongoing Mobile World Congres in Barcelona, HTC has just unveiled 3 new smartphones in their Desire line of mid-range devices, but you’ll be forgiven if you think they were attacked by paintbrushes or something. The Desire 530, 630, and 825 devices have been inspired by urban streetwear fashion and you can say that each unit will be truly unique. Specs-wise is nothing spectacular, but design-wise, these new smartphones may attract those into more fashionable gadgets.
All three smartphones, or specifically, their outward appearance, was designed with a micro splash effect on its polycarbonate shell through a special paint process that they created to give each phone a unique appearance. It looks like somebody spray painted on your phone and somebody actually did and deliberately so. It comes in several colors and design options as well: Stratus White Remix with duo micro color splash and Graphite Gray Remix with gold micro splash for the Desire 630 and 825 while the Desire 530 only has Graphite Grey and Solid Stratus White block colors.
Specs-wise, there are just a few slight differences among the 3 devices. The HTC Desire 530 is a 5-inch device with HD 720p Super LCD resolution and run by Snapdragon 210, with a 1.5 RAM, 16GB internal memory but expandable, and for the cameras, it has an 8MP main and 5PM front-facing. The HTC Desire 630 has the same size and display as the 530, but with a Snapdragon 400 processor, a 2GB RAM, 13MP main cam and 5MP front-facing one. The HTC Desire 825 is slightly bigger with a 5.5-inch display and uses Gorilla Glass but with the same processor, RAM, internal storage, and camera specs as the 630. All three devices will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Another great thing that these devices bring, at least for the Desire 630 and 825, is that they come with high quality audio. The two are Hi-Res Audio Certified and uses the BoomSound with Dolby Audio tech. They are also bundled with a Hi-Res headset to make listening even better. If you’re fond of taking selfies but find it difficult to do so, all three Desire smartphones have Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie Modes, among other things. The HTC Desire 530, 630 and 825 will all be available at the online store and retailers by March 2016. No word yet on the pricing for all three.
