Here come the leaks boys and girls. HTC has just filed for trademarks on five, count ’em FIVE, new phone names. This is the first we’ve heard of the Cheetah, Raider, Titan, Skyrocket, or Velo, so we don’t have much to go by. With names like that though, I’d bet “fast” may be in HTC’s marketing future.
Hot off the heels of the Sensation, EVO 3D, and MyTouch 4G Slide, HTC’s next batch of Android phones are due to start poking their heads up sooner rather than later. We’re not sure if these newly trademarked names will be them, but we’ll be sure to keep a look out for them.
If Cheetah, Skyrocket and Velo (I’m assuming short for velocity given the other names) don’t make you think “fast,” I’m not sure what will. The other two names Titan and Raider, mostly just sound awesome, and in Titan’s case big. Whether this hinted at speed comes thanks to 4G, a fancy new dual-core processor, or even a quad-core, will have to be seen as details emerge. In the mean time, let the speculation commence!
