We may not officially know much about the upcoming new flagship from HTC, but what we do know is probably the resolution of the upcoming HTC 10. That is because several real wallpapers for the device have been leaked, and based on their size, it looks like it will have 2880 x 2560 pixels with a Quad HD display . But all the official details we’ll find out during the online launch event happening on April 12.
Even though the 6 wallpapers did not officially come from HTC and were just leaked, it does follow the visual language and geometrical patterns of the default Nexus wallpapers. It will supposedly be baked in the Android- 6.0 flavored HTC Sense 8.0 which will of course be part of the upcoming device. The Taiwanese OEM decided to remove the One from their naming scheme for some reason and so just decided to use the HTC 10 moniker instead of the previous HTC One M9.
But official details about this device has been scarce. We’ve seen some glimpses in the teaser, like a “Boom Sound” technology and also a revolutionary rear and front camera. It will reportedly have an all-metal body, just like most new smartphones lately, and will have a fingerprint scanner in front. There have been some leaked images floating around, and it will supposedly have a mix of the One A9 and One M9, at least design-wise.
All will be known during the April 12 launch event, which will only be an online event. Then the HTC 10 will reportedly be available by April 15, at least in its native Taiwan first.
