Ask any health or beauty specialist what is the best secret for keeping your skin clear or prolonging your life without any surgery and they would probably give you the same answer: drink lots of water. But a lot of times, especially during seasons when it isn’t warm enough to always be thirsty, we forget to drink water. A new Kickstarter project will introduce HidrateMe, which is probably the smartest water bottle in the market right now.
The main purpose of this water bottle and its accompanying app is to make sure that you are properly hydrated everyday. A sensor placed inside the bottle tracks how much water you’ve already drank so far and then glows to remind you that it’s time for your regular intake of water. It is a 24 oz. – 710 ml. reusable water bottle that is made from BPA free Titan plastic. It is spill proof, has a pour style mouth piece, and even has a ripple design under the lid.
The sensor stick is inside the bottle while the battery is easily replaceable and can be bought in almost all major stores. The app that will be connected to your water bottle is pretty easy to use, or so they say, because the app will be available only this winter, and what they have is just a video demo for now. But the app syncs with your water bottle through Bluetooth and the latter will give off a glow if the former tells it that you haven’t had enough water yet.
The HidrateMe project has already reached waayyy more than it’s goal of $35,000. It’s currently at $210k, so it goes to show that people probably want to stay hydrated all day long. You still have 35 days to go to pledge at least $45 to be able to get one bottle in the color of your choice. Choices are iceberg white, bamboo green, ocean teal, crystal pink, and obsidian black.
