If you were a 90s kid who loved playing puzzle games, then you probably came across the Logical Journey of the Zoombinis. And now that mobile gaming is one of, if not the, most prevalent type of playing games, you’d expect a reboot or a remake sooner or later. So yes, now it came sooner. Now just simply titled Zoombinis, this game now on Android is a reimagining of the classic puzzle game, and this time, your goal is to get the little blue guys home.
Each of the Zoombinis, the cute little blue creatures you’re trying to help, actually have distinct personalities and appearances. They have been displaced by the evil Bloats who are not satisfied with just taking over their homes, but would even like to capture them once and for all. Your role now is to guide and help the Zoombinis get to Zoombiniville, where they will be safe from their tormentors.
You will face puzzle challenges that will get more difficult as you go on, and you need to use your logic, data analyzing skills, pattern-detecting abilities and problem solving prowess. There are twelve puzzles in the game, with names like Titanic Tattooed Toads, Lion’s Lair, BubbleWonder Abyss, etc. Each puzzle will have four levels of increasing difficulty, so it’s not as simple as it seems to solve all twelve.
This brand new game still retains a connection to its predecessor as they use the same voice for the Narrator, Stone Guards, Pizza Trolls, Captain Cajun, and the Innkeeper, and the music from the original has also been restored. You can download Zoombinis from the Google Play Store for $4.99, no more in-app purchases required.
