If you’ve been having fun exploring the teen lives of your favorite superheroes in the game Marvel Avengers Academy, then you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll have even more adolescent versions to play around with. That’s because Star Lord and the entire gang of the Guardians of the Galaxy will now be part of the campus, temporarily though, that is helping mould the Super Heroes of tomorrow, even as the imminent threat of enemies like Hydra are always on the periphery.
Having the teenage version of Star Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot will probably mean that the Academy will become even more of a hoot, but you will not be able to play the characters right away. Straight from escaping from the villain Ronan, the new students have landed at the Academy and now you will have to investigate each one of them, unlocking a new character every week. And don’t forget that there’s always the danger that Ronan will follow them here and try to take back the Power Gem.
The update to the game also brings a new combat system where you need to figure out the best combination of superheroes in order to win battles. This is called Phase One and your characters will continue to improve the more they experience combat. Phase Two will probably come in the next update and will show off each character’s special ability through combat perks.
You can update your Marvel Avengers Academy now in order to be able to experience the Guardians of the Galaxy invasion, which is a limited event only. But if you don’t have the app yet, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store.
