As Google prepares to release the highly-anticipated Nexus 6, what will become of its predecessor, the Nexus 5? Well apparently, it will slowly go away and sink into oblivion until it is eventually forgotten. Okay, nothing as dramatic as that, we promise, but it is indeed the end of the line for the smartphone as Google will reportedly stop selling the Nexus 5.
Okay they will not all of a sudden disappear of course but the only ones remaining with the retailers and carrier partners will be the only remaining Nexus 5 in the market. Okay, it’s not as if this is a sudden surprising move for Google, because last year, there was a report saying they’ve stopped production of their current smartphone and will just be waiting for the stocks to be depleted and say goodbye to it officially. They said that the smartphone will “continue to be available for sale on Google Play and through select retailers in Q1 2015.” And true to their word, there are still some out there, just not on the Google Store.
You might think that’s a typo error when we referred to it as Google Store. No, we didn’t make a mistake as this is the new name of the digital storefront that sells just the hardware. The apps, music, movies, and books will continue to be sold through the Google Play Store but smartphones, smartwatches, and Chromebooks will be sold at this new storefront.
Going back to the Nexus 5, though it had (and still has) a lot of fans, people can expect great things from the Nexus 6 as well. It is now available for ordering through the Verizon Wireless website, but shipping will only start by March 18.

So basically there is no Nexus phone for sale in the market. Nexus 6 is a tablet not a phone.
Once you start using it, it seems perfect. I was skeptical at first, but I love it.
