If you ordered your Google WiFi already, you still have a month or so to wait for it to arrive as shipping starts sometime December (hopefully before all the Christmas parties start). But already, the tech company has released an unlisted video, explaining how easy it would be to set up your WiFi, whether you got the 1-pack or 3-pack option. It is probably also to entice those who aren’t sold yet on getting the router for their home use.
Setting it up actually looks pretty easy. All you have to do is plug in the USB-C cable to power the device and then connect it to your existing modem through an ethernet connection. Then you’ll have to wait for it to turn blue, then the app, which you should have downloaded by then, will do the rest of the work in configuration. But first, you’d have to scan the QR code at the bottom of the router to start the process. Then you select where the WiFi is located and then choose a cute name for your network.
Adding two other routers, if you chose to buy the 3-pack package, is also pretty easy. That is actually what makes Google WiFi attractive, the fact that it is easier to manage your whole router system and also make your Internet signal stronger, wherever you are in the house. Well, of course, it depends on the speed of your Internet Service Provider but the router should enhance whatever you have in the first place.
Google WiFi will cost you $129 but you can also get the $299 for 3 package. It will be available by December, so hopefully your Christmas parties will have better connectivity by then.
