The Google Spotlight Stories program has been out since 2015 but we haven’t heard much about it except for the release of ‘Pearl’ and ‘On Ice’. Google has introduced more videos via special delivery. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Google Spotlight Stories is a platform used to explore and share different immersive stories. There are over a dozen of Google Spotlight Stories available that vary in genre types. The Google Spotlight Stories app features content in VR, mobile 360, and room-scale VR headsets.

You can make your own Google Spotlight Stories. Download the Story Development Kit (SDK) and see if you can create your own VR and mobile 360 stories. Request access HERE‘. Note the SDK will include access to a Story Editor with Graph Editor, Timeline, Properties, Outliner, Device, Job Manager, and Log.
