Even though the new Chromecast devices have been out for months, Google hasn’t been giving them much of a marketing push, even if the two, the 2nd generation Chromecast and Chromecast Audio are relatively marketable, cost-wise and product-wise. But two new ads have been released today, which may signal a whole new campaign for the streaming devices. Both ads show how useful the dongles can be, although of course you’d probably need more than just 30 seconds to fully appreciate what the Chromecast can do for you.

The first ad, for the second generation Chromecast shows two girls (not sure if they’re friends or more than friends or something else) talking to each other through the TV show lines that they’re casting to their TV while two other friends are supposedly watching something. The tagline at the end is “don’t love it a little, love it a lot.” We think they should change it to “thou shalt not continually cast other shows while other people are watching”. But viewers get the point.

For the Chromecast Audio, the ad starts off with a girl humming a tune, then the guy casts the actual song on to their speakers, and instead of being annoyed that he interrupted her song number, she’s actually happy that he found the song she was looking for. “Play your music apps out loud” is the tagline, which can also mean “Cast your music if you can’t stand your housemate’s singing or humming voice”.

The two casting devices from Google are available for just $35 each. Let’s see if they will continue to push these products more in the market and if there are more video ads to follow.
