The Google Play app may not be the most constantly updated of all the Google products, but it is actually one of our most opened apps, if you’re always on the search for new apps on your Android devices. A Googler has recently revealed to an online site that there will be changes happening to the app as Google tries to continually improve all their products, even if it is through minor changes only.
The update, which will be rolling out soon, will bring some UI tweaks to the app that users might see or might not notice at all. The first change is that the family section of the Play Store will have new animation to some of their apps. When you open an app in that section, the character’s icon will slide to the middle of the screen when you tap it. For example, when you go to the Frozen section (we mean the cartoons, not the meat section), Olaf will slide to the middle of the screen. Unfortunately, he won’t do a song and dance number, but at least, he did slide.
The other tweak is in the What’s New section of the Google Play app. When there’s an app update, you usually see the changelog in a green box. Now the shade of green is lighter and the text is also now green instead of black. The box has also been expanded slightly to touch the edge of the screen, and it now has a an explosion looking bullet point object.
Yes, as we said, theses are minor tweaks, but still maybe something worth telling you about. The update will roll out soon, but you can already get the APK if you can’t wait for the official download.
