Google Photos, at least the revamped version of it that is separate from Google+, is still a relatively new thing for a lot of users. We can expect changes, new features, constant updates, and a lot of listening to feedback on the part of Google. They are introducing several new things on the web version of the cloud photo service, which they say all came from the requests of users. No word yet if this will eventually translate into the apps soon.
One new thing that web users can do on Google Photos is to change the timestamp on the uploaded pictures. Whether it’s because your camera or smartphone was malfunctioning at the time the pictures were taken or whether you just want to manually change when and where the photos were taken (and we won’t ask why, that’s your business), at least you now have the ability to manipulate the timestamp. But if you’re too lazy to do so, you can also leave it as it is.
Another change is that now you can reorder the photos in the album. Some are actually very particular when it comes to how the photos in a particular collection or album should be arranged. And so now they can re-arrange the photos to their heart’s content, whether it’s by timestamp, by storyline or even by color or any other random aspect.
The changes to the web version has already rolled out. Simply go to photos.google.com and go edit your timestamp and rearrange your photos as much as you want.
