If you and your significant other’s anniversary is coming up and you forgot to get them a gift or you don’t have the budget to spend for an elaborate surprise, Google Photos has got your back. The latest of their themed movie and photo compilations is called “Love Story” and it chronicles your greatest moments, at least those that have been captured on your smartphone or camera and uploaded to the photo cloud storage app. And you don’t have to even break a sweat because the app will do it all for you.
The Assistant tab in your Google Photos is probably one of the busiest features within the app. Without even being prompted, it suggests photo collages, stylized versions of your photos, and the aforementioned photo and video compilations for special occasions like Father’s Day, year-in-review, etc. Another one of its most-liked features is that it can create themed movies like for your dog, cat, and a look how they’ve grown compilation for what it assumes is your kid or children.
The newest one is called “Love Story” and it’s a themed movie of your romantic relationship. But of course this will work if you have a lot of photos or videos of the two of you uploaded. When you open your Google Photos and go to the Assistant tab, you’ll see a new card which will suggest this love story movie. You have to choose two people as it will not automatically choose you for some reason. You will have to wait as they create your movie, depending on how many photos you and your partner have.
You can also edit it afterwards with the redesigned editor if you’re not satisfied with what the app did for you. You can add and remove photos and videos or change the background theme music. If you don’t see a card suggesting your “Love Story”, you can just go to the Movie carousel on your app or on the web version.
