Google released the OTA for the Nexus 5X a couple of days ago. We knew that it won’t be long before the same update will be ready for the Nexus 6P. Looks like we don’t have to wait that much because the same Google employee who shared the news, GoogleNexusCM on Reddit, has just published information that the OTA update for the Nexus 6P will be ready soon.
This news was from the Nexus Community Manager himself, Orrin Hancock, so you know it’s true. We have no idea if Google made an official announcement about the release but it’s really happening—your Nexus 6P is now eligible for the latest software update.
As with the Google Nexus 5X update, this one brings a lot of bug fixes, performance boost, enhanced connectivity, and overall stability on the smartphone. Expect the Nexus 5X to be faster than ever. Developers at Google took consideration of the Nexus users suggestions and feedback so expect noticeable improvements. The Android security update for March is also included in this release.
We know a lot of people who have been waiting for this Nexus 6P software update. Honestly, we only get to learn about more issues, possible root access, or price cuts related to the Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P. It took Google a while to release the latest version of the Nexus software.
So to all the Nexus 6P owners, just wait to receive the OTA. It should be pushed to your phone in the next few days.
