One of the most stressful things for the holidays, actually even before then holidays, is planning that trip back home or that dream vacation. Fortunately for people living during these times, there are numerous apps that can help make travel life easier for you. Google has also been pretty helpful, launching new apps like Google Trips and bringing new features to current ones. In this edition, you get better Google Flights options and more info when you do hotel search on the Google app.
When you select a specific flight you’re interested in on Google Flights, it will now tell you when the prices are expected to increase, when the current fare will expire, and how much you’ll be able to save if you book it now. So basically, your cards and notifications should be able to tell you if you should buy the flight now. If you don’t have a specific flight but a route that you’re interested in, you will get multiple tips on how you’ll be able to get the best price for it, like expected price jumps, alternate airports and dates, etc. If you’re still not sure where you actually want to go, the Explore section is there to give you ideas on where to go based on the kind of vacation you’re looking for.
When searching for hotels, on Google, your results will now include “label deals” like if a price is lower than usual or if there are discounts on the days that you choose. But if all you want to see are awesome deals, then click on the upper left and filter deals. You will also be able to see if there are deals available for loyalty members on the hotel’s website.
These changes are probably already in effect for both Google Flights and the hotel search. Also, don’t forget to download Google Trips on your mobile device when traveling because it is pretty helpful, even when you don’t have Internet.
