This week we’re seeing another update to one of Google’s popular apps. After Maps received a large update, they’re now busy with Drive. The last update to Google Drive was back in May but this newest version is bringing all sorts of improvements. Even though the changelog simply lists bug fixes. Read on to see what’s new.
The brand new Google Drive app rolling out in stages this week will seriously improve Google Drive, even if they don’t mention in on the Play Store. For one the UI has been tweaked and improved, not to mention we now have a slight bit of holo-additions with a light grey color, instead of the black bars as before.
Then as far as features, Google added some pretty nifty shortcuts for Drive. There is now a shortcut to quickly upload, create, or scan things into drive. Which should make all those tasks much easier and quicker. The upload shortcut has to be my favorite, but that isn’t all.
It appears we now have a similar pull-to-refresh feature as we’ve seen with a few other of Google’s apps as of late. With the fancy animations and all. However, a few of our devices with the latest update still don’t have the shortcuts, for some reason. Again this is a staged rollout and should be reaching devices over the next 24-48 hours. Hit the link below and get it now.
