You’ve probably never thought about it because there are more important digital things to think about, but wouldn’t it be great if Google Calculator was available on Google Play Store? No? Well, even if you’ve never thought about it, it is happening. This also means that you can now download this utility and install it on your Android Wear smartwatch so you can do simple computations on your wrist. While this may not be groundbreaking news, it is pretty important for those who always need a calculator on the go.

A lot of standard Google apps have been making their way to the Google Play Store over the past few months. This is of course not a coincidence and is part of the tech giant’s efforts to have them available in the apps marketplace, not because no one is downloading them. In fact they’re the default in a lot of Android devices. But this is more so they can easily be updated individually, instead of waiting for the system update to the devices every time they need to change or improve on these standard apps.

The Calculator isn’t an automatic app that people have on their wearables but it’s pretty nifty to have one anyways. Now that it’s on the Google Play Store, you can easily install it on to any smartwatch running on the Android Wear platform. Your device would have to be on Android Marshmallow though to be able to do this. And of course, having it on Google Play would make the experience consistent across all Android devices.

So if you don’t have the Google Calculator on your smartphone for some reason, you can now download it from the Google Play Store. All of the Google apps are in the Google section of the store of course.
