It’s more of an adventure really, because you can use your phone’s flashlight on/off by simply saying “Nox” or “Lumos”. Set in New York 1926 even before Harry Potter arrived in Hogwarts, this “Fantastic Beasts” will feature the life of magizoologist Newt Scamander. It’s another glimpse into the Wizarding World created by Rowling.
In “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, you can learn more about magic and have your try in becoming a wizard–if not, a magician. With the help of Google, you can freely “cast spells” to your phone. Say “Silencio” to quiet the notifications and the ringer.
This new adventure will have you exploring the old New York and visiting the famous landmarks featured in the movie from the Steen National Bank to the magical apartment, The Blind Pig, and the Magical Congress of the USA (MACUSA). You can explore the city with Tina and Queenie Goldstein as Newt finds his escaped beasts. You need to help him before they wreak havoc within the city.
Google and Warnes Bros. have teamed up to create this adventure game that can be enjoyed with the Daydream View VR headset. You can be a magician like Newt and be able to cast spells. You need to help our hero find treasures, solves challenges, and locate the beasts.
Daydream View will be available this November so expect this to be released soon as well.
