Google also announces official folio, cases for Nexus 5X, 6P

It hasn’t been a few hours since Google officially unveiled their new Nexus devices, the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P. But since they’re already available at the Google Store and we know a lot of Android people are early adapters, then it goes without saying that Google is also prepared for the inevitable need for folio cases and simple cases for the new smartphones. While there are a lot of other brands offering various accessories for the new Nexus devices, if you prefer the “original”, Google also has prepared some for you.

For the smaller device, the LG Nexus 5X, Google is offering a pretty neat Folio case. The exterior actually is textured microfiber so that it won’t slip easily from your grasp, especially if you have butterfingers. The cover protects your screen from scratches, while also giving you easy access to buttons and ports. The official case meanwhile is almost the same except that it doesn’t have the folio cover of course.

For the Huawei Nexus 6P, the Folio is probably the most stylish one around, although technically it’s still not around because it will be available soon. They call it a “refined leather folio” and it has a strong frame and raised bezels will also help protect your new smartphone. It will be available in black and brown. The Nexus 6P case is made of a plastic rear shell and also a microfiber exterior lining with a nice geometrical pattern just like the other folios and cases from Google.

The Nexus 6P case will be sold for $34.99 while there isn’t a price yet for there Folio. Meanwhile, the Nexus 5X Folio is priced at $39.99 while the case is the same as its 6P counterpart, at $34.99. All (except the 6P Folio) are now available at the Google Store.
