If you’ve always dreamed of traveling to Tibet, but you’ve never had the budget or the time to actually go there, the next best thing you could do is to play a virtual game that is set there (or watch a movie or documentary, but you won’t have any active participation there). One game that you can try is Lost Horizon, a popular point and click adventure game for the PC, but is now available for your Android smartphones and tablets.

The game’s story is set in 1936, and a former Air Force pilot now turned adventurer Fenton Paddock has been tasked to find an expedition team that has been lost in Tibet. For some reason, he needs to team up with his ex-girlfriend Kim which makes things more complicated. Not to mention, some Nazis are also hunting for the expedition team because they are carrying findings that might just change our understanding of the world. No biggie.

The story is riveting enough, the visuals are stunning and almost movie-like, the locations are exciting and exotic (Hong Kong, Tibet, Morocco), and the gameplay inventive and interesting. You have clever riddles, spot-on touch controls and UI, and even full dubbing in English and German as voiced by “popular voice actors”.

You can download Lost Horizon from the Google Play Store for $4.99. It is a bit expensive but considering that it already includes all chapters and there are no more in-app purchases, then that should be worth it.
